Who is responsible
Pierce of Ink Limited, company number 694093, is the controller for the online aftercare shop and the website operations described here. Our registered office and contact address is 5 George’s Street, Greatconnell, Newbridge, Co. Kildare, W12 W299, Ireland. Contact newbridge@pierceofink.com or 089 253 2117 with a privacy question.
Enquiries are addressed to the studio you select. That studio will identify the legal provider responsible for a treatment booking and give you any additional information required for consent forms or treatment records. This notice does not replace that separate information.
Information and purposes
We use the contact details and message you choose to send to answer enquiries and take steps you request before a purchase or appointment. For accepted shop orders, we use order details, contact and delivery information, payment status and necessary correspondence to fulfil the contract, provide customer care and handle returns.
Our legal bases are taking steps at your request before a contract and performing a contract; compliance with tax, accounting and consumer-law obligations; and legitimate interests in proportionate security, fraud prevention and managing or defending legal claims. You may ask us for details of our legitimate-interest assessment.
Please do not send ID copies or medical details through a general website enquiry. We will explain any separate need for sensitive treatment information through the appropriate booking or consent process.
Contact forms and payment information
When you submit an enquiry, your selected studio receives the contact details and message you entered through our configured Google Workspace email service. The website uses a form security token, an anti-spam field, and Cloudflare Turnstile verification before sending. Turnstile processes browser and network information to distinguish legitimate visitors from automated abuse.
A short-lived, salted hash derived from the network address is used for rate limiting; this plugin does not store the raw address or create a separate database of enquiry messages. Expired limit records are removed by scheduled cleanup. Hosting, Cloudflare and email services may keep their own service and security logs. Configured email logging may also retain messages under the site administrator’s retention settings.
You may contact a studio directly by email or phone instead. See Cloudflare’s privacy information. Do not submit ID documents, health information or payment-card details through the enquiry form.
Payment details are handled by the provider identified at checkout. This contact-form feature does not process card payments.
Who may receive data
Access is limited to people and providers who need the information for their role. Relevant categories include authorised studio staff, website and hosting support, email and business IT providers, payment service providers, delivery carriers, accountants and professional advisers, and public authorities where disclosure is required by law.
Newbridge handles online aftercare fulfilment. We do not pass shop orders to Carlow or Kilkenny for dispatch. We do not sell personal information.
Some service providers may process information outside the European Economic Area. Where an international transfer requires safeguards, we use an applicable adequacy decision or other lawful safeguard such as standard contractual clauses, with supplementary protection where required. Contact us for the relevant recipient and safeguard information.
How long information is kept
We keep information only for as long as necessary for the relevant purpose. Order and accounting records are retained for the applicable statutory period. Enquiries are kept for the time needed to deal with them and any resulting booking, complaint or claim, then deleted or anonymised when no longer needed. A legal requirement or active dispute may justify longer retention.
Cookies, storage and external links
The site uses WordPress. Necessary cookies may be used for login, security and, when online shopping is available, the WooCommerce shopping session. The previous demonstration shopping-bag storage is not used by this version.
The theme itself does not install analytics, advertising trackers or social-media embeds. Social and map links open the external service when you follow them. Other installed plugins may add functionality; any optional tracking must be described and controlled before it is enabled.
Portfolio and product images are served from this website. When the site administrator installs the design fonts, the server downloads them for local hosting; visitors do not need to connect to Google Fonts to use this theme. External services linked from the site apply their own privacy information.
Optional analytics or advertising cookies, if introduced, must be described and kept off until you give any required consent. Refusing optional tracking must not block shopping.
Your choices and rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your personal data. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests and to direct marketing. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw that consent without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing.
Email newbridge@pierceofink.com to exercise a right. We may take proportionate steps to verify your identity. We normally respond within one month; the law allows an extension in some cases and we will explain it when relevant. You can complain to Ireland’s Data Protection Commission.
Information needed to answer your enquiry or perform an order is necessary for those purposes; without it we may be unable to proceed. We do not use this website to make solely automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.
